HECTOR — The Hector Lady Wildcats slipped past the Hackett Lady Hornets 41-36 on Tuesday inside the Hector Multi-Purpose Building.

“The girls didn’t shoot the ball as well as we wanted tonight, but we found a way to win against a very big and very good Hackett team,” Lady Wildcats head coach Luke McAnulty said. “I loved our effort and am super proud of the girls for pulling this one out.”

Hector led 10-9 after the first quarter but fell behind 19-18 at halftime. After the third quarter, the Lady Wildcats went back up 31-29.

Hector was led in scoring by Courtney Barnett with 16 points. Evelyn Riley scored 14 points. Alyssa Gililland scored five points, while Molly Haley scored three points. Shelby Hendrix scored two points, and Andrea Sears contributed a point.

Hackett was led by Kayla Richardson and Audie Clancy with seven points each.

Hackett SB 51, Hector 24

HECTOR — The Wildcats lost to the Hackett Hornets 51-24 on Tuesday inside the Hector Multi-Purpose building.

Hector trailed 9-4 after the first quarter and 18-10 at halftime. After the third quarter, the Wildcats were down 31-16.

Hector was led in scoring by Bobby Martin with six points. Caleb Profitt scored five points. Isaac Stanek scored four points, while Treys Smedley and Jacob Castro scored three points each. Blake George scored two points, and Gunner Garrison contributed a point.

Hackett was led by Avery Hester with 15 points.

Hector JG 16, Hackett 11

HECTOR — The Junior Lady Wildcats beat Hackett 16-11. They were led in scoring by Hallie Mosley with six points. Josie Taylor scored five points. Riley Lenhart and Adreonna Higgs scored two points each. Brooke Smedley contributed a point.

The Junior Lady Hornets were led by Madaline Freeman with five points.

Hector will host Danville at 5 p.m. on Friday.
