Congratulations to all Senior Beta students who competed at the state convention. We had several students placed at the state level making them eligible to compete at Nationals. Luke Brown placed 5th in Ag Science, Aalia Holt placed 5th in Black and White Photography, Brinkley Lake placed 5th in Fiber Arts, Shayle Odom placed 1st in Onsite Drawing, and Sarah Standridge placed 3rd in Digital Art and 5th in Onsite Drawing. All students represented our school very well. Thank you, students!

Hector High School’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter placed six students in competitive events recently at the District V FBLA Spring Leadership Conference held on the University of Central Arkansas campus in Conway. 1st Place  Mackenzie Story – Word Processing  Aalia Holt – Personal Finance 2nd Place  Petra Clyatt – Introduction to Business Communications 3rd Place  Luke Brown – Agribusiness  Brooke Smedley – Business Calculations 4th Place  Trinity Anderson – Introduction to Financial Math These students will now proceed to the FBLA State Leadership Conference and compete against five other FBLA district winners in state competition April 4-5 in Little Rock at the FBLA State Conference. At the state conference, the top 6 placements in each written event and the top placements in skills and performance events will then proceed to national competition June 29 – July 2 in Chicago, Illinois.
